Getting Oriented to WashU Sites

We’ve designed WashU Sites to be as flexible and easy to use as possible, even for those with no prior web design experience.

Still, getting to know WordPress and the WashU Web Theme can take time. We highly recommend budgeting at least one work day (or several hours spread across multiple days) for getting up to speed:

• 3 hours to view our introductory and advanced trainings (you can watch pre-recorded trainings on-demand or register for our monthly live Zoom sessions)
• 4+ hours to practice what you’ve learned, consulting our guides and tutorials as needed

Investing a few hours now will save you time later on. Familiarizing yourself with the basics will make it easier for you to utilize tutorials about specific topics or troubleshoot with the support team.
