Emily Schuster

As Digital Content & Web Support Specialist, I work directly with campus partners on creating beautiful and effective websites in the WashU Web Theme. I love teaching, using the latest educational theories to find new ways to share knowledge and empowering campus partners to use the WordPress toolbox to its fullest. A favorite aspect of my job is problem-solving with campus partners and colleagues to find the best possible ways to tell our campus partners’ unique stories while aligning with WashU’s brand standards. I am thrilled to be surrounded by partners and colleagues who share my passion for higher education.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Creative Writing from the College of St. Benedict, a tiny, liberal-arts school in central Minnesota that most people in St. Louis have never heard of. But if you have, let me know! I love connecting with other Bennies and Johnnies. My husband and I moved to St. Louis in 2014 and are now proud to call this city home.

Brunch is my favorite meal of the day. In my free time, I love writing poetry, making things out of yarn and spending time outdoors.
