Connor Liu

Liu's research centers on testing computational strategies that may be used to design therapeutic cancer vaccines to treat malignant brain tumors. This year he was one of 72 students selected to receive mentored training with top biomedical scientists through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s (HHMI) Medical Research Fellows Program.
Jingyi Luan
McDonnell International Academy Scholar
Luan is a PhD candidate in the School of Engineering & Applied Science's Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science program. She joined Washington University through the McDonnell International Scholars Academy's partnership with Xi’an Jiaotong University in in Xi’an, Shaanxi, China. Scholars are selected on the basis of their promise to become future leaders in academia, government, the professions or the corporate world.
Rukayat Taiwo
Medical Student; HHMI Fellow
Taiwo's research focuses on analyzing the brain cancer glioblastoma on a molecular level. For the second year, she has been selected to receive mentored training through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s (HHMI) Medical Research Fellows Program.
